MCCC welcomes a new Club Chair
Mid-Cheshire Camera Club has a new Chairperson in the form of Paul Wilcock. Paul was inaugurated at the Annual General Meeting in April this year and has been working tirelessly with other committee members behind the scenes all summer to bring the new seasons programme to fruition.
In Paul's introductory address to members on the first meeting of the year, Paul stated, "We have an action-packed programme for you with lots of new guest speakers, practical events, competitions and some regular stuff." In fairness to Paul, the programme does pack a punch and continues on the great work of outgoing Chair and Syllabus Secretary, Mr Ray Hill CPAGB.
Paul has been with the club for six years and in that time has progressed from beginner to winning the PDI Photographer of the year 2018. Paul is a devote Canon user and his trusty Canon 5D MK4 is married up with Canon and Sigma Glass. In relation to club work, Paul will shoot pretty much anything but in recent years he has concentrated more on portraiture where he enjoys the connection between photographer and subject. Paul's portraiture also includes dog and horse photography.
Besides, taking up the new roles of Chair and Syllabus Secretary, Paul continues to write and maintain the Clubs website. I think he is going to be very busy! In fairness, Paul states he is supported by an excellent Committee and his right hand - Kath Hill CPAGB is always on hand to provide advice, support and guidance in his new role.
