One thing is for certain; there are a lot of members from Mid-Cheshire Camera Club that like to travel and when they do, they are always accompanied by their most faithful companion – their camera. It doesn’t matter what it is; Canon, Nikon, Fuji or Sony the little box of circuits and wires is one of the most precious things to take on any trip to far of corners of the earth. MCCC's guest presenter for the evening, Tony Redford of North Cheshire Photographic Society, also shares the same philosophy and treated our member to a delightful photographic insight of New Zealand.
Tony presented his journey around New Zealand in a rather a unique way. Instead of standing at the front of the hall talking to us about his far-flung quest, Tony had put together a very professional Audio-Visual slide show complete with commentary. All we had to do was turn down the lights, sit back and relax and take in all the fantastic sights of his expedition which was accompanied by some relaxing music and professional voice over.
Tony presented images of the people, architecture and some beautiful scenery. His journey took him the length and breadth of the country and he was keen to give his audience a deep insight into the things that can be seen on a visit. His voice-over was easy to listen to and was interspersed with a good amount of humour. All in all, this was a marvellous and professionally thought our presentation, which our members enjoyed.
As a parting gesture, Tony shared another audio-visual presentation of humorous and somewhat ‘saucy’ Christmas Cards. Yes, I know we are in spring but it was very funny and a fabulous note to end the evening on. Our thanks go to Tony for a splendid evening.
