MCCC result at L&CPU Knockout Competition 2017

A great result for Mid-Cheshire Camera Club who came 3rd out of 41 other L&CPU affiliated clubs at last night’s annual PDI Knockout Competition at Lowton School near Warrington. In the end each club was allowed just 4 entries due to the high number of clubs taking part. The judge, Richard Speirs from Carlisle, did an excellent job with a superb commentary where he entertained us with his very dry sense of humour. Providing tips and hints on exposure, composition and explaining what he liked and disliked about each image Richard carefully critiqued the 164 projected digital images. MCCC managed to get two images (Ray’s and Mark’s) into the final twelve!

Our entries were as follows:
Colour Palette – Jim Cain Round 1
Bubbles – Ray Girling Round 4
Little Owls – Ray Hill Round 5
Teamwork – Mark Clayton Round 5

The winners of the competition were the Evolve Group followed by Chorley PS.

Regards,
Kath Hill
MCCC Secretary
