St. Luke’s Bubble Rush 13th May 2017
Last Saturday four of us (Kath, Ray, Joff and Matt) took up the challenge to photograph the 3rd Bubble Rush charity event on behalf of the local St. Luke’s (Cheshire) Hospice.
This is a very important fund-raising event in St. Luke’s calendar and we tried to do them proud, snapping hundreds of shots for their ever popular facebook page. This year the event was sponsored by Cliff Dickenson & Son who are celebrating their 90 years as a family owned business. A raffle ticket for £1 gave you the chance to win a Ford car!!
The weather was cooler and windier than last year and we were pleased the rain held off as the nearly 2000 runners turned up keen to run, walk or piggy-back around the 5K course at Oulton Park.
Before the Bubble Rush proper began we captured some of the pre-race fun – face painting, dancing and even a boxing challenge were part of the warm-up organised by the DJ, a juggler and Rachel on stilts.
Ray covered the Start and Finish with Matt on the Green Station, Kath on Pink and Joff on Blue. After a short break when the next wave of runners lined up, Matt handled the Start and Ray moved to the Yellow Station.
Here are a few of the photos - the smiles prove that you really can have a lot of fun getting drenched and turning green!
