Mid-Cheshire Camera Club Annual PDI Competition
Tremaine Cornish EPSA, EFIAP, BPE3* of Birkenhead Photographic Association was guest judge at Mid-Cheshire Camera Club’s annual projected digital image competition on 30th March. With a record entry of 138 images, he had his work cut out.
The winners were – Beginners Open: Enjoying the Blackpool Sunset by Paul Wilcock. Advanced Landscape: Derwent Water by Ray Girling. Advanced Creative: Secret Shed by Dick Ellingham. Advanced Portrait: Jaguar by Ray Hill. Advanced Open: Mating Hover Flies by Jim Cain. Advanced Record: The Technique of Greg Rutherford by Ray Girling. Advanced Natural History: Cheetah Watching Over Cubs by Ian Whiston.
Watched by 29 club members, Tremaine then took his time choosing the Overall Winner and settled on Mating Hover Flies by Jim Cain, which he described as an outstanding macro image. Cheetah Watching Over Cubs by Ian Whiston was a close second with Derwent Water by Ray Girling in third place.
