League Competition 2

Camera Club Competition
On Wednesday evening, 22members of the Mid-Cheshire Camera Club went head to head in their second Open League Competition of the year. Judge Alan Towse LRPS from Stockport Photographic Society critiqued over 90 images to find a winner in each of the three sections. With such an array of top quality images his job was not an easy one. Alan, a professional photographer who regularly photographs celebrities, gave each image a thorough assessment of its qualities and weaknesses and offered tips on photographic technique and composition.
The best Print in the Advanced section was awarded to Ray Girling CPAGB with his perfectly exposed Barn Owl.
Two new members, who are also good friends, battled it out in the Beginners section with Paul Wilcock’s majestic Ready for the Rut taking first place.
Finally, after having awarded 19 marks to a record number of images, Alan admitted that his favourite Projected Digital Image in the Advanced section was Cheetah Watching Over Cubs by Ian Whiston DPAGB, AFIAP, BPE3*
Mid-Cheshire Camera Club meets at 8pm on Wednesday evenings at the Dingle Recreation Centre, High Street, Winsford, CW7 2AS. New members are always welcome and their website www.midcheshirecameraclub.org gives more information.
