It was the first competition of the season at Mid-Cheshire Camera Club on Wednesday night at the Dingle Recreation Centre. The judge was Keith Barber from Swinton and District PS and it was a packed house which is testament to how popular the competition evenings are. From the outset it was obvious how difficult an evening it was going to be for Keith to choose between some very good images. The first part of the competition was the Print section and both first and second place went to Ray Hill, third was Mark Clayton and fourth Kath Hill. It was celebrations in the Cain household when the results of the second part of the evening were announced. Jean Cain came first in the Beginners Projected Images and Jim Cain first in the Advanced. The other results in the Projected section in the Beginners were, second place Myra Harris, third and fourth Jean Cain. In the Advanced Projected section Ray Girling was second and fourth, Ray Hill came third.
At the end of evening Keith remarked that it was one of the best competitions in terms of quality that he had judged.
Club Chairman Ray Hill thanked Keith for his comments and for judging the competition.
