WELCOME

Welcome to Mid-Cheshire Camera Club
Founded in 1976, we are a club for photography enthusiasts and those who want to improve their photographic skills. From September to May we meet every Wednesday at the Dingle Recreation Centre, High Street, Winsford at 7:45 p.m. for 8 p.m.start.
We offer a varied annual Program that covers everything from Camera Basics to Practical Sessions to Competitions. As part of the Lancashire and Cheshire Photographic Union (L&CPU), we regularly view folios of a cross-section of high-quality images that hopefully educate and inspire.

Revised Programme for the 2019/20 season is now available in the Programme section.

Please note This page will be updated with any changes to the Programme.

MCCC actively encourages visitors or prospective members to the club, however, a small charge of £3 (normal meetings) and £5 (meetings where we have a guest speaker) will be payable on the door to assist MCCC in covering its costs.

MCCC is an excellent place for social interaction with like-minded people who just enjoy their photography. The Wednesday evening meetings are an ideal opportunity to catch up with fellow members picking up tips and tricks in relation to your photographic technique, equipment and if you are lucky, good places to go and take interesting and imaginative photographs.

Do you fancy obtaining your first photography accreditation! Then this is the place to do it with experienced members to assist and inspire you on your journey.

The Great British Cup 2020

The eagerly awaited results of the GB Cup have been verified and we are pleased to say that MCCC did very well. The results can be found on the below attachment and I think you’ll agree that Ray G did a great job in selecting the images and it’s super to see 5 Acceptances from 5 different members. The PAGB will produce a slideshow of the Accepted Images that Ian will purchase and show at the club in due course.

Taking part in these External Competitions really helps to raise MCCC’s profile and gives us all a chance to show our best pictures on a big stage.

Judging images is a subjective business and a picture that has done well in one competition won’t necessarily score as high a mark in another, so if you got a mark lower than you’d expected it’s worth bearing this in mind.

Once again, a big thank you to Ray for his time and effort making sure MCCC entered this national competition and thanks also to members for taking such great photos in the first place.
