WELCOME

Welcome to Mid-Cheshire Camera Club
Founded in 1976, we are a club for photography enthusiasts and those who want to improve their photographic skills. From September to May we meet every Wednesday at the Dingle Recreation Centre, High Street, Winsford at 7:45 p.m. for 8 p.m.start.
We offer a varied annual Program that covers everything from Camera Basics to Practical Sessions to Competitions. As part of the Lancashire and Cheshire Photographic Union (L&CPU), we regularly view folios of a cross-section of high-quality images that hopefully educate and inspire.

Revised Programme for the 2019/20 season is now available in the Programme section.

Please note This page will be updated with any changes to the Programme.

MCCC actively encourages visitors or prospective members to the club, however, a small charge of £3 (normal meetings) and £5 (meetings where we have a guest speaker) will be payable on the door to assist MCCC in covering its costs.

MCCC is an excellent place for social interaction with like-minded people who just enjoy their photography. The Wednesday evening meetings are an ideal opportunity to catch up with fellow members picking up tips and tricks in relation to your photographic technique, equipment and if you are lucky, good places to go and take interesting and imaginative photographs.

Do you fancy obtaining your first photography accreditation! Then this is the place to do it with experienced members to assist and inspire you on your journey.

What's Going On!
MCCC is informed from time to time of a number of Photographic events happening around the region. This section of the Home plage details these events for the information of members who may choose to attend.

Shepton Mallet Snowdrop Festival
I am on the organising committee of the Shepton Mallet Snowdrop Festival and once again we are running a Photographic Competition. The theme of the competition is Snowdrops or Winter Landscape, (with or without Snowdrops)! There are 3 age group classes with cash prizes. Only the adults have to pay to enter at just £4/photo.
The closing date of this competition is 11pm 8th February 2020.

James Allen of Shepton Mallet (1830 - 1906) was the first person to breed new snowdrop varieties from the wild plants and he is the inspiration for the Shepton Mallet Snowdrop Festival, now in its fourth year. All the details of how to enter the competition are on the festival website. Festival Snowdrop Competition

The Guild of Photographers
My name is Rebekah, I am the Events Manager at The Guild of Photographers. We are running an event with our sister company Photohubs, not too far from you and your members - which I'd love to invite you all to!
When: 31st January & 1st February 2020.
What: 2 days, 8 sessions and 2 workshops
Where: Weston Rd, Haslington, Crewe CW1 6UZ
Details: https://photohubs.co.uk/crewe-speakers-2020/

We'd like to offer you and your members the opportunity to save £10 off the ticket price for day passes and workshops using the code: camclub10. This will be a great opportunity to listen to/watch/meet other like-minded photographers and professionals of the industry. You will find the itinerary of each day via the Day Passes. We're hoping to have some of
our Trade friends there too who may have some brilliant deals on to take advantage of. Bringing together individuals interested in the craft of photography, no matter where you are in your photographic journey, level of skill or experience - we welcome all, so you'll be able to get a taste of the Guild too. If you've any questions at all, please do not hesitate to get in touch; it'd be great to see you and your members there. I look forward to hopefully hearing from you soon.

Southport Air Show
Our very own Dave Jones has notified our committee in relation to this years Southport Air Show. As you will be aware, Dave is an avid photographer of planes and trains. He has been given advance notice that the Southport Air Show 2020 will take place from Friday 11th September to Sunday 13th September 2020. Weather permitting this is a really good show and is one of the nearest to us.

Dave recommends any member wishing to visit the air show should go by train due to the heavy traffic and ques. There is a train from Winsford to changing at Liverpool South Parkway onto the MerseyRailine to Southport.
